Archivo has no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. Your archive lives on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud. We cannot see it.
Archivo keeps references to things that already live on your device or in your iCloud — links, photos, videos, documents, contacts and notes — together with the titles, previews and dates it works out for them. All of it is stored on your device.
We do not operate a server that receives your archive. There is no account to create, no password, and nothing for you to sign up to.
If you have Archivo Plus and are signed in to iCloud, your archive is mirrored to the private database of your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. That copy belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer has no access to it and no way to read it.
Sync uses Apple's silent push notifications to know when something changed. Archivo does not send you marketing or promotional notifications.
Archivo can read the words inside your images and can search your archive by meaning. Both run entirely on your device, using Apple's Vision and Natural Language frameworks. Nothing is uploaded for processing, and no image or text leaves your device for this purpose.
Archivo makes network requests in only these cases, and always directly from your device:
youtube.com and img.youtube.com.These requests go to the sites you chose to save. They are not routed through us, and we do not receive a copy or a log of them.
Signing in with Apple is optional and is not a login — nothing in Archivo is locked behind it, and the app works exactly as well if you never use it. It exists so your archive can carry a name, and so you have one identifier to quote if something goes wrong with a purchase.
If you use it, Archivo keeps the stable user identifier Apple issues, and your name and e-mail address only if you chose to share them. These are stored in this device's own storage. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can revoke Archivo's access at any time in your Apple Account settings.
Archivo Plus is sold through Apple using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment; Archivo never sees your card, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. The developer receives only the aggregated sales and payment reports Apple provides, which do not identify you.
The free first month is tracked by storing a start date — a date and nothing else — in your device's Keychain, and, where enabled, in your iCloud key-value storage so that it follows your Apple Account rather than restarting on a new device.
Archivo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal information on our behalf, there is nothing for us to hold about a child or anybody else.
Because your archive never reaches us, there is no account for us to close and no data for us to hand over or erase on request. You are in control of all of it:
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the rights given to you by the GDPR apply. In practice they are satisfied by the above, because the developer holds no personal data about you.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
